ARQA-VET

• ist das Akronym für Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training – die Österreichische Referenzstelle für Qualität in der Berufsbildung
• unterstützte die vormalige Sektion II Berufsbildung und in der Folge die Abteilung III/5 Qualitätsentwicklung und -sicherung des BMBWF bei der Entwicklung und Implementierung eines neuen Qualitätsmanagementsystems für die österreichischen Schulen (QMS) und war sehr lange Support-Struktur für die  QualitätsInitiative BerufsBildung (QIBB)
• war und ist ein Netzwerk-Knoten im europäischen Netzwerk EQAVET (war davor ENQA-VET) und vernetzte Akteure und Institutionen der beruflichen Bildung in Österreich
• hat sich immer als Anlaufstelle und Serviceeinrichtung für alle Fragen zum Thema Qualität in der Berufsbildung vertsanden und wurde als solche auch wahrgenommen

• stands for Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training – die Österreichische Referenzstelle für Qualität in der Berufsbildung
• supports the section II of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Education (BMB) in further development and implementation of QIBB (The Austrian VET Quality Initiative)
• is a network node in the European EQAVET network and cross-links the actors and institutions within the vocational education and training in Austria - sees itself as a contact point and service facility for all questions concerning the thematic of quality in VET
• is responsible for the QUALI-QIBB – qualification within and for the Austrian VET Quality Initiative
• organises annually the Quality Network Conference (QNWK) for VET in Austria.

On the 1st of October 2007, ARQA-VET, the Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training, was established by the Directorate II of the BMB as an organisation unit within the OeAD-GmbH, the Austrian Agency for International Co-operation in Education and Research. Since the 1st of January 2016 are both ARQA-VET and the NCP (National Coordination Point for NQF) situated under the joint management in the in the department of Quality Development and Transparency
